Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump invited Zelenskyy to join a newly formed Gaza Peace Board, a move Kyiv is cautiously weighing amid Russia’s inclusion in the talks.

Russia is already using 2026-grade missiles and new tactics, Zelenskyy
Russian forces used updated tactics during a nighttime strike on Ukraine and deployed missiles manufactured in 2026, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"I held a special energy coordination meeting. All government officials involved in addressing the aftermath were present, along with regional authorities, the military, and representatives of the energy sector. Restoration work has already begun in all regions that were hit," Zelenskyy said.

US President Donald Trump has officially invited his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to join the Board of Peace on the Gaza Strip.
Zelenskyy is currently hesitant to accept, as Russia's Vladimir Putin and other heads of state who supported Russia's war against Ukraine are among the invitees.
Norway refuses to join Trump’s Peace Board: Reason revealed
Norway will not join the Peace Board of US President Donald Trump. This initiative does not align with the principles of the UN, Norwegian Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik said in an interview with Aftenposten.
"It is completely clear that we cannot be part of a structure that challenges the role of the UN and existing international law. That would be absolutely impossible for us," Kravik said, commenting on the possibility of Norway joining the Peace Board.
Zircon missiles, Iskanders and 300+ drones: Kyiv region became main target in Russian attack
Russian forces launched hundreds of drones and multiple types of missiles at Ukraine overnight on January 20, including Zircon hypersonic missiles, S-300 systems, and Iskander missiles. The main direction of the strike was the Kyiv region, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
According to the military, the enemy used one Zircon anti-ship missile launched from temporarily occupied Crimea, 18 Iskander-M and S-300 ballistic missiles fired from Russia’s Bryansk and Rostov regions, as well as 15 Kh-101 cruise missiles launched from Russia’s Vologda region.
