New National Security and Defense Council preparing first decisions - Zelenskyy

The new composition of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine is already preparing its first decisions, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Today I spoke with NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov. The composition of the National Security and Defense Council has been updated. We are already preparing the first decisions of the new composition. In particular, sanctions will be soon," the president said.
In addition, Zelenskyy informed that decisions are being prepared to intensify economic relations. Tomorrow, the President will discuss the details with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
"We are preparing decisions for Monday," the president summarized.
NSDC reboot and government change
Yesterday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Rustem Umerov as the new Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council. Before that, Umerov served as the Minister of Defense.
In addition, today, the head of state renewed the composition of the National Security and Defense Council.
These changes occurred after Ukraine recently changed its government. In particular, Yulia Svyrydenko became the new Prime Minister.
