There is currently little official information about the iPhone 17, which is not surprising, as Apple only introduced the iPhone 16 a few months ago. However, rumors and leaks about the 2025 series are already gaining traction. Now, a new insider report sheds light on the display technology used in the Pro models, according to Android Authority.
Details
Insider Jukanlosreve shared details about the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max on the X social network. According to him, Apple plans to use a new display technology called Low-Dielectric TEE for both devices.
As Jukanlosreve explains, this technology improves energy efficiency, maximizes display longevity, and enhances overall performance compared to existing display technologies. If true, this could be an important update that will likely please Apple fans.
The insider also claims that this technology is different from LTPO+, which contradicts earlier rumors that all four models would feature LTPO+. As with any other rumors, this information should be taken with a grain of skepticism.
It was also previously reported that the iPhone 17 Pro may have a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro Max could feature a 6.9-inch display. Additionally, the base models of the lineup are expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate.
