New explosion hits previously attacked oil depot in Feodosia
Another tank at the oil depot in Feodosia, which was recently attacked by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has caught fire. The blaze has been ongoing for four days, according to the Crimean Wind Telegram channel.
The information about the explosion appeared on the evening of Thursday, October 10. Photos and videos published show a powerful explosion as well as a fire at the oil depot.
In one of the videos, locals can be heard mentioning that a large flame is visible at the site.
The head of the Crimean administration, Aksyonov, reported that there was a release of flammable materials at one of the terminals.
Strike on Feodosia oil depot
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that a massive fire broke out at the oil terminal in Feodosia on the night of October 7. Later, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed a missile strike on the oil depot. It is important to note that this refinery was the largest in Crimea in terms of handling oil products for the needs of the Russian forces.
The following day, on October 8, it was reported that a gasoline tank exploded on the territory of the oil depot, followed by a kerosene tank. Satellite images of the fire were also shared online.
According to media reports, a Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense system might have been stationed at the oil depot.
