On Wednesday, June 24, a new earthquake with a magnitude of 3.1 occurred near the coast of Crimea, according to data from the Main Center for Special Control.

According to experts, the underground tremors were recorded in the morning at 5:53 a.m. near the Crimean coastline at a depth of 12 kilometers.

The earthquake is classified as imperceptible.

Earthquakes in Crimea

Recall that on June 22, a series of earthquakes was recorded in the Crimea region. Throughout the day, seismologists registered six underground tremors in the Black Sea and near the peninsula’s coastline.

The strongest earthquakes occurred at 8:48 a.m. ( Kyiv time). A magnitude 4.2 tremor was recorded near the Crimean coast at a depth of 10 km. According to experts, it is classified as strongly felt.

An even stronger earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 occurred at 2:07 p.m. Its epicenter was also located near the Crimean coast at a depth of 10 km. This tremor was also classified as strongly felt.
