Ukrainian forces will be using a new unmanned aerial system called Volyniaka. The new hexacopter is designed to hunt heavily armored targets, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense website.

According to reports, the Ministry of Defense has codified and approved the Volyniaka bombardment hexacopter for use in the armed forces.

What is Volyniaka

Volyniaka is a domestically produced bombardment hexacopter designed to destroy a wide range of enemy targets.

Its first modifications have been operating on the front lines since the early months of the full-scale war. They have already destroyed hundreds of units of enemy military equipment, dugouts, and concentrations of enemy forces.

These "bombers" are capable of carrying out combat missions in any weather conditions — including in low light and strong winds.

Key characteristics of the "bomber"

The bombardment hexacopter Volyniaka consists of:

  • a control panel,

  • pilot goggles,

  • a relay device,

  • a reusable hexacopter equipped with six powerful brushless motors.

The "Volyniaka" is designed for transporting cargo in challenging combat conditions and can:

  • drop ammunition on enemy targets,

  • deliver a destructive force sufficient to destroy heavily armored targets,

  • perform logistical tasks by delivering necessary equipment to positions.

Even Donald Trump has been impressed by the extensive use of drones in modern warfare. He said no one expected drones to become the main weapon in the war between Ukraine and Russia.

Meanwhile, Russia is not standing still either. Recently, Russian forces used a new rocket-powered drone, the Geran-3, during an attack on Kyiv.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian military engineers are developing new interceptor drones to protect energy facilities. This was shared by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
