Netherlands provides Ukraine with 3 Patriot launchers
The Netherlands has provided Ukraine with 3 Patriot launchers in response to forecasts that Ukraine will face a difficult winter, according to Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans.
“Ukrainians will face a difficult winter as the devastating air strikes continue,” the Minister says.
In response to this threat, the Netherlands handed over 3 Patriot launchers to Ukraine.
“This saves lives and protects vital infrastructure,” says Brekelmans.
According to him, joint efforts are aimed at stopping Russian aggression.
“It has been and remains in our common interest to stop Russian aggression,” the Minister emphasizes.
Patriot for Ukraine
Romania announced the transfer of the Patriot system to Ukraine on June 20. However, due to parliamentary and governmental approval procedures, the delivery was delayed and was completed only on September 3.
The final decision was approved by President Klaus Iohannis on September 5.
In addition, it was reported that another Patriot system would be provided by the Netherlands. This delivery will also be joined by a third country, which preferred to remain anonymous.
