Netherlands and Denmark to produce CV90 infantry fighting vehicles for Ukraine
The Netherlands will start producing CV90 infantry fighting vehicles for Ukraine together with Denmark, according to the Dutch government.
It is noted that the country has decided to participate in the Swedish fund for the creation of CV90 infantry fighting vehicles for Ukraine together with Denmark and has allocated 400 million euros for this purpose.
It is specified that they will be mainly produced in the Netherlands. Also, a European assembly line for Patriot missiles is being launched in Germany due to demand from the Netherlands.
The government clarified that investments are needed because the security situation in Europe has worsened due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The increase in the production and supply of military equipment and ammunition in the Netherlands and Europe is too slow, and Europe needs to become less dependent on external supplies.
CV90 deliveries to Ukraine
Ukraine has already received a batch of CV90 infantry fighting vehicles from Sweden and successfully used them in battles with the Russian military.
At the end of last year, Sweden and Denmark agreed to further support Ukraine in the context of the transfer of CV90 infantry fighting vehicles.
