Netanyahu warns Qatar and others over harboring terrorists

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned Qatar and other countries about the consequences of allowing leaders of terrorist organizations to stay on their territory, according to the politician’s page on the social media platform X.
In his video address, the prime minister accused Doha of providing refuge and funding to Hamas and its leaders with luxurious villas and safe havens.
Netanyahu referred to a UN Security Council resolution that prohibits governments from giving shelter to terrorists, adopted two weeks after the September 11, 2001, attacks. He emphasized that the recent Israeli army strike on Qatar was carried out in accordance with the principles of this resolution.
The prime minister also responded to international criticism of Israel’s actions.
“When the United States eliminated Osama bin Laden, no one accused America of attacking Afghanistan or Pakistan. Instead, the world applauded. Today, it should applaud Israel for defending the same principles,” the prime minister said.
In conclusion, Netanyahu reminded that Israel is committed to pursuing its enemies wherever they hide.
“I say to Qatar and all nations who harbor terrorists, you either expel them or you bring them to justice. Because if you don’t, we will,” the prime minister said.

Israeli strike on Qatar’s capital
On September 9, the Israel Defense Forces carried out a strike on Qatar’s capital, Doha.
The IDF stated that the operation targeted senior Hamas officials who directly organized the October 7, 2023, attack and coordinated subsequent military actions against Israel.
Media reports claimed that the strike was allegedly approved personally by Donald Trump.
However, the US president denied any involvement, emphasizing that it was solely Netanyahu’s decision.
In response to the attack on Qatar’s capital, the European Commission suspended financial support to Israel.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs called the strike a violation of international law and urged a return to negotiations.
