Legendary British boxer and former world champion Anthony Joshua completed his first-ever visit to Ukraine. The decorated heavyweight was so impressed by Ukrainian hospitality that he is already planning his next trip.
Mountains of gifts and new suitcase
Joshua admitted that such attention and the number of gifts from Ukrainians were a pleasant shock for him. According to the star, he will need to buy additional luggage to take all the presents home.
“I need to buy one more suitcase because they gave me so many gifts! They are very hospitable, very welcoming, very warm. Thank you to everyone who showed me love,” Anthony shared. A related video was published on Pravda TUT Lviv’s page.
Among the gifts, a patriotic T-shirt with “Ukraine” written on it held a special place. The Briton promised to wear it during his training as a sign of deep respect for the country.
Thanks on Instagram and promise to return
Anthony also summarized his impressions of the trip in a separate social media post. He once again emphasized that he had a wonderful time in Kyiv.
“Ukraine, I had an amazing
time. Thank you for the warm welcome and hospitality. Oleksandr Usyk and Ready to Fight, thank you for the invitation. Until next time,” Joshua wrote, adding a Ukrainian flag emoji.

Champion’s itinerary
Joshua’s visit to Kyiv in March 2026 had a full schedule.
Together with his former opponent and now friend, Oleksandr Usyk, Anthony attended the Rising Stars boxing evening organized by Usyk 17 Promotions and toured key landmarks of Kyiv.
The Briton also paid tribute to fallen Ukrainian defenders at a memorial in the city center.
“I'll come for fun”
Although this visit was business-related (at the invitation of the Ready to Fight platform), Anthony assured fans that it was only the beginning.
“This time I came for boxing, next time I'll come for fun. Ukraine – it was amazing!” the boxer said.
It is noted that a visit by a global star of this scale during the full-scale invasion sent a strong signal of support for Ukraine on the international stage.
Earlier, we reported that Usyk revealed his plans before retiring from his career.
