Three fights to go: Usyk reveals plans for the end of his career

Heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk has outlined his plans for the final phase of his professional career. The Ukrainian stated that he intends to have only three more fights before permanently retiring from the sport, according to Inside The Ring.

The WBC, WBA, and IBF titleholder shared details of his final fight schedule. According to Usyk, he does not plan to stay in the ring for much longer and has a clear roadmap toward retirement.
When asked about motivation and plans, Usyk was succinct: ''There will be three fights.''

Usyk’s path to retirement is planned step by step:
Rico Verhoeven – The bout against the Dutch kickboxer is scheduled for May 23 in Giza, Egypt. Despite some fan criticism labeling it as an “entertainment fight,” Usyk remains serious.
"For me, it’s a real fight. Yes, Rico isn’t a great boxer, but that’s fine. It’s a fun fight," the champion explained.
Winner of Daniel Dubois vs. Fabio Wardley – This fight will serve as a serious test against one of the contenders in the division.
Tyson Fury – Usyk plans to end his career with a final clash against his longtime rival, whom he jokingly calls his “greedy belly.”

Usyk remains undefeated in his professional career, with 24 wins, including 15 by knockout. He has won the world undisputed champion title three times, first in the heavyweight division, and then twice in the cruiserweight division.
