Ukrainian fighters continue clearing Russian troops in the Pokrovsk direction. In recent days, it was possible to clear approximately 900 meters of territory within a single day, according to the 132nd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces.

“The 132nd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces continues to carry out combat missions in the Pokrovsk direction. In recent days, within a single day, ground reconnaissance units conducted a clearing operation in an area approximately 900 meters long,” the statement says.

The operation took place as part of planned efforts to improve the tactical situation and reduce enemy activity within the unit’s area of responsibility.

Heavenly Retribution drone operators of the 132nd reconnaissance battalion continuously monitored the area from the air, detected the enemy, and controlled movement in the clearing zone. Mobile groups on quad bikes operated on the ground, carrying out maneuverable advances and the direct clearing of terrain.

Situation in the Pokrovsk direction

Russian forces continue attempts to advance toward Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, focusing their main efforts on the flank areas.

Back in December last year, the 7th Air Assault Forces Corps reported that Russia had deployed about ten units in attempts to capture Myrnohrad, as it had failed to establish control over Pokrovsk. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders reinforced defensive lines.

Since the beginning of the year, the Russian troops have significantly reduced the number of open assaults, instead relying on covert infiltration into the central areas of Myrnohrad.

In the Pokrovsk area, activity from Russian units has been recorded in the directions of Kotlyne and Hryshyne. Near Myrnohrad, the main attacks are concentrated in the areas of Rodynske, Novoekonomichne, and the northern part of the city.

At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine maintain control over the northern districts of Myrnohrad. Strike-and-search groups and drone crews are operating there, restraining the advance of enemy heavy equipment in the southern direction.

According to information from the Eastern Group of Forces, in Myrnohrad, Ukrainian soldiers are holding defensive lines and eliminating Russian troops on the outskirts of the city.
