The Ministry of Defense continues to actively supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine with drones. Over the past three months, almost 100,000 UAVs have been delivered to the military through the DOT-Chain Defence system, according to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
"We continue to increase the pace of drone supplies to the military. The Ministry of Defense has allocated an additional 1.9 billion hryvnias for the purchase of drones and other equipment through DOT-Chain Defence," the ministry noted.
Another 50 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are joining the marketplace, bringing the total number of units working through the system to 180.
"Over three months, almost 100,000 drones worth 3.74 billion hryvnias have been supplied to the military through DOT-Chain Defence. The average delivery time for available equipment is only 10 days," the ministry emphasized.
DOT-Chain Defence is a convenient and transparent system where units independently choose the necessary equipment, while the Defense Procurement Agency handles the bureaucracy.
Ukrainian troops previously had the procedure for purchasing drones and electronic warfare equipment simplified. Ukrainian servicemen can now purchase drones and electronic warfare systems through a simplified process and receive them at the front faster.
DOT-Chain Defence marketplace
As the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal previously explained, this year the Cabinet of Ministers scaled up the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace, and it will now be used to procure defense goods for the needs of the National Guard of Ukraine.
DOT-Chain Defence is already successfully operating to supply the Armed Forces.
"The integration of the National Guard into the DOT-Chain Defence system strengthens the potential of all security and defense forces to achieve a common goal — protecting Ukraine and bringing closer a just peace," the defense minister emphasized.
As of July this year, 11 Ukrainian defense companies had been integrated into the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace.
