"In the Pokrovsk community of Nikopol district, the enemy wounded a rescuer," he said.
According to the head of the Military Administration, when firefighters arrived to deal with the aftermath of a previous attack, the occupiers struck again with a drone.
"The 28-year-old man is in hospital. His condition is serious," noted Lysak.
Russian attacks on rescuers in Ukraine
Russian forces consistently employ a tactic of repeated strikes — first targeting civilian objects and then emergency service professionals such as medics, rescuers, and police.
This tactic is most frequently observed in Kharkiv region. Recent incidents include the shelling of a recreational base near Kharkiv on May 19, resulting in at least 5 deaths and around 20 injuries. Among the injured were a police officer and an emergency medical technician.
