Strike results
According to Ukraine's Navy, enemy surveillance systems located on captured gas platforms near the coast of temporarily occupied Crimea were destroyed.
"The hunt for the enemy in the Black Sea continues. The occupiers will not stay on our territory — we will get them everywhere," Neizhpapa stated.
Situation in Crimea
Russian forces captured Crimea in 2014. Over the years, the occupiers have established numerous military facilities on the peninsula, which support the Russian forces involved, including in the large-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Ukraine's defense forces continuously target Russian positions in Crimea. On December 6, for instance, there were reports of gunfire in Kerch. Local residents spoke about an attack by naval drones.
It later became clear that Ukrainian naval drones had made a breakthrough in the Kerch Strait. The occupiers even attempted to shut down the Crimean Bridge.
