NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen have agreed to establish a new high-level task force to strengthen cooperation between the Alliance and the EU, citing NATO’s press service.

During a meeting on Tuesday, October 29, Rutte and von der Leyen concurred that Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine poses the greatest threat to peace and security in Europe.

They emphasized that the deployment of North Korean soldiers to support Russia's aggressive war is a significant escalation of the war against Ukraine, as well as a serious threat to European security and global peace.

To counter these threats and challenges, Rutte and von der Leyen agreed to create a new high-level working group to enhance existing cooperation between the EU and NATO.

Planning for the first meeting of the group is expected to commence "in the coming weeks."

North Korean soldiers in Russia

North Korea has sent its soldiers to Russia to assist in the war against Ukraine.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin stated that this is linked to a strategic partnership agreement between Russia and North Korea.

According to Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate, some North Korean military personnel are already stationed in the Kursk direction.

Meanwhile, North Korea claims that the deployment of soldiers to Russia for participation in the war against Ukraine allegedly complies with international law, although information about troop deployment there has not been officially confirmed.
