Satellite images have confirmed a fire at one of Russia's largest oil hubs, the Samara linear production-dispatch station. The oil hub was attacked on the night of November 2, according to NASA's Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS).

According to the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, following a drone attack early Monday morning, Kazakhstan temporarily suspended crude oil supplies to Russia via the Atyrau-Samara pipeline.

The ministry, in response to a Bloomberg inquiry, reported that an attack on pipeline facilities in the Samara region of Russia was carried out last night.

"It is expected that oil supplies via this route will resume in the near future," the statement said.

So far, neither Ukraine nor Russia has officially confirmed drone strikes on oil infrastructure in the Samara region, located approximately 860 kilometers from Moscow.

Samara region Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev reported the Ukrainian drone attack on his social media account on Monday.

An image from NASA's Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS), obtained on November 2, showed a relatively fresh thermal anomaly. This potentially indicates fires at the Samara oil and gas station.

The Samara station is a vital node in the Russian pipeline network, with a storage capacity of over 1.6 million cubic meters. It handles supplies from Western Siberia and Kazakhstan.

The Atyrau-Samara pipeline, which runs to the Russian Volga region, is one of the main routes for crude oil exports from Kazakhstan.

One of Russia's largest oil hubs, Samara, caught fire again in the Samara region on October 7.

Furthermore, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck Russian oil and gas facilities in the Samara and Astrakhan regions, damaging storage tanks, pipelines, and installations.

The Samara oil hub, the largest oil storage facility in Europe, was targeted by Ukrainian drones on the night of October 2.
