Muskegon shooting: 20-year-old man dies at hospital
A shooting in Muskegon, Michigan, on Wednesday morning, resulted in the death of a 20-year-old resident, as reported by the police, according to WWMT and WOOD.
The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. in the vicinity of Grand Avenue and Hoyt Street, according to Muskegon Police Department Capt. Tim Bahorski.
Bahorski revealed that the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the upper body and was transported to the Trinity Hospital in a "serious condition."
Unfortunately, he died at the hospital later in the afternoon. The police, however, refrained from releasing the victim's name.
Law enforcement officials indicated that the shooting did not appear to be random, though they were unable to confirm the circumstances leading up to the incident or provide details about potential suspects.
Investigators state that there is no threat to the nearby Muskegon High School.
