Musk to leave White House? What Trump told businessman

US President Donald Trump has said that Elon Musk can stay in his administration as long as he wants, CNN reports.
"You’re invited to stay as long as you want," Trump said, addressing Musk, who was present at the meeting as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
"At some point, I guess, he wants to get back home to his cars. You have been treated unfairly...You’ve really been a tremendous help," Trump added.
Musk’s term as a special government employee is limited to 130 days. Last week, the billionaire announced that he would reduce his involvement in the DOGE starting next month.
Musk cuts US government
Billionaire Elon Musk became the head of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and initiated a massive reduction in federal agencies, leading to thousands of government employees losing their jobs.
These measures have sparked controversial reactions, even among Donald Trump’s supporters. The media reported tension between Musk and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, although Trump administration denied these claims.
According to Politico, following the wave of layoffs, President Donald Trump decided to limit Musk’s authority.
