Munitions for F-16s and drones: Netherlands allocates new military aid package to Ukraine
The Netherlands has announced the allocation of a new package of military aid to Ukraine amounting to 350 million euros, according to the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Kajsa Ollongren.
According to her, the country will procure ammunition for F-16 aircraft, which Ukraine is expected to receive this year.
150 million euros are planned to be allocated for this purpose, and the ammunition will be purchased directly from the industry.
The Netherlands has also signed a contract for new reconnaissance drones worth about 200 million euros together with partner countries.
Ollongren's visit to Ukraine
Today it became known that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Dutch Minister of Defense Kajsa Ollongren.
The President's Office noted that the head of state provided the Dutch minister with detailed information on the situation on the battlefield and the current needs of Ukrainian defenders.
"The interlocutors paid special attention to bolstering Ukraine's air defense, providing artillery, armored vehicles and UAVs, in particular in the framework of joint projects," the material said.
