Munich Security Conference 2025

As the US State Department previously announced, the 61st Munich Security Conference, which will take place from February 14-16, will focus primarily on Russia’s war against Ukraine. Other key topics will include energy, climate change, artificial intelligence, and international trade.

More than 60 heads of state and government and over 100 ministers will participate in the conference. The Ukrainian delegation will be led by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The Munich Security Conference (MSC) is an annual international forum dedicated to discussing pressing security issues.

Founded in 1963, it has become a key platform for exchanging views between representatives of different countries worldwide. Each year, the MSC gathers politicians, military officials, and various governmental and non-governmental international organizations to discuss foreign policy, security, and defense-related matters.

The MSC format does not include final communiqués or legally binding resolutions. However, the chairman of the Munich Security Conference, Christoph Heusgen, has expressed hope that this year’s discussions will help outline steps toward peace in Ukraine.
