There are many myths about sex, and they only spoil and complicate the lives of many couples and single people, according to the Community of Ukrainian Doctors portal.

Myth 1. No pregnancy without orgasm

Not at all, conception and orgasm are not connected. Orgasm is about the clitoris, and conception is about the fusion of cells (gametes). Unfortunately, we already have a concerning birth rate, and with this scenario, it would be a disaster. So, women, don't forget about pleasure.

Myth 2. Menstruation, sex, and pregnancy don't go together

No, they do go together. Even though there are fewer chances of getting pregnant during menstruation, they still exist. Thus, if you have a desire and attraction to your sex partner, do not forget about protection if you do not want to become a parent in 9 months.

Myth 3. Shower will protect you from pregnancy

This is indeed a myth, as we have already mentioned about the GPS principle and the sperm homing to the egg. So, a shower will not prevent it, but can lead to vaginal inflammatory diseases or bacterial infections.

Myth 4. Sex provokes heart attack

NO, because sex (whatever it is) is a physical activity. Like sports, it strengthens the cardiovascular system, which is essentially a heart attack prevention.

Myth 5. Sex in the water prevents pregnancy

IT DOESN'T. It's like taking a shower after sex. The water around us does not protect against sperm and does not kill them, and therefore does not prevent pregnancy. Pregnancy can only be prevented only by a contraceptive method you choose.
