The Russian Federation is not ready for genuine negotiations on ending the war in Ukraine. The only option that currently satisfies the Kremlin is Ukraine's capitulation, states the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov.

"Putin is not ready for any negotiations. Putin or his circle make these statements to undermine support for our country. They launch these fakes pretending to be ready for negotiations," says Danilov.

He notes that Ukraine's position remains unchanged, which aligns with the 10 points of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Peace Formula.

"The negotiations proposed by the Russian Federation are quite simple – it's our capitulation. We cannot afford to capitulate to a country that began destroying us on February 24. We will continue moving towards victory," he emphasizes.

Talks between Ukraine and Russia

Ukraine and Russia held several rounds of talks at the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022, but they are currently on pause. Ukrainian authorities stress that Ukraine will not return to the negotiation table until Moscow withdraws its troops.

Recently, foreign media reported that Russian dictator Putin conveyed through diplomatic channels his alleged readiness to freeze the war in Ukraine.

It's worth noting that Zelenskyy mentioned that after the leaders' summit on the Peace Formula, a document would be formed for consideration by the Russian Federation.

If the Kremlin is willing to accept it, negotiations will become relevant.
