On the night of December 24, an unknown car exploded in Moscow. The incident occurred on the same street where Russian Army General Fanil Sarvarov was blown up a few days ago, according to Russian social media sources.

The explosions reportedly happened around 1:00 a.m. Kyiv time, as that is when information about the car explosion in Moscow began circulating on social networks.

According to SHOT subscribers, they heard at least two explosions, and the incident took place on Yaseneva Street near a police station. Several social media sources note that this is nearly the same location where Major General of the Russian Armed Forces Fanil Sarvarov’s car was blown up on December 22; he later died from the attack.

Currently, numerous emergency and service crews have arrived at the scene. Social media reports indicate that at least two people were injured, one of whom is lying on the ground with leg injuries. Law enforcement is not allowing anyone near the site.

According to Baza, one of the injured is a police officer in serious condition. Later, several other channels reported that both injured individuals are police officers.

Meanwhile, SHOT reported a preliminary cause of the explosion.

“Preliminarily, an unknown person threw an explosive device through the car window. Witnesses told SHOT that they saw two people fleeing,” the post states.

Recall that on the morning of December 22, information spread on social media that an assassination attempt had been carried out in Moscow against Russian Army Major General Fanil Sarvarov.

In particular, the incident occurred in the courtyard of a residential building on Yaseneva Street as he was getting into his Kia Sorento. The explosion happened when the 56-year-old general began to drive off.

As a result of the explosion, the vehicle was heavily damaged, and Sarvarov was hospitalized in critical condition. Later, Russia’s Investigative Committee confirmed that the general had died.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence eliminated Russians in Vladivostok who had committed war crimes in Ukraine.
