More military aid ahead: PM reveals what Ukraine expects from partners next year

Ukraine’s defense forces will need significant financial support next year. Some of the necessary funding will come from partner countries, according to Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi.
Partners’ aid for Ukraine’s armed forces
Koretskyi said that the 2027 budget draft allocates 4 trillion 885 billion hryvnias for defense alone.
"That is almost 44% of GDP," he said.
According to the prime minister, Ukraine also receives material and technical assistance from its partners, including:
- missiles,
- weapons,
- military equipment,
- ammunition,
- means of destruction.
However, the government expects this assistance to amount to at least 1 trillion hryvnias.
"And that is even more than this year," the prime minister said.
At the same time, he stressed that the needs of Ukraine’s defense forces in 2027 will be significantly higher.
"The cost of the war is rising. We are working to finalize the exact calculations," Koretskyi said.
Budget revenues in 2027 are projected at 5 trillion 648 billion hryvnias.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine submitted the 2027 state budget bill to the Verkhovna Rada. Funding for the security and defense sector is the priority.
