The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova summoned the Russian ambassador to Chisinau and handed him a protest note over the violation of the country's airspace by Russian missiles and drones, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova.

According to the ministry, five drones and several missiles flew through Moldovan airspace without authorization before exploding near settlements in four districts of the country.

The ministry emphasized the severity of this incident, as it endangered the lives and safety of citizens and also caused fires and material damage.

"The Ministry calls on the Russian Federation to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova and to prevent the recurrence of such incidents," the Moldovan Foreign Ministry emphasized.

During a massive strike by Russia on Ukraine on October 3, three missiles and two drones exploded on Moldovan territory. Five aerial targets fell near settlements in four districts of the country.

Following the attack, Moldovan law enforcement officers found drone debris in four districts. As a result of the explosions, several fires broke out, and damage was also recorded.
