During Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine on the morning of October 3, five aerial targets exploded within the country’s territory. Based on an analysis of the data, they were identified as three missiles and two drones, according to the Moldovan Ministry of Defense.

“Amidst the Russian Federation's massive attacks on Ukraine this morning, the National Army's Air Operations Service reports that, following an analysis of national airspace surveillance data, an additional unauthorized flight was detected alongside the five previously identified aerial objects—three missiles and two drones—that impacted the ground,” the statement reads.

This object entered Moldova’s airspace at 08:04 a.m. from the direction of the town of Udobne in Ukraine’s Odesa region. It was moving toward Palanca.

By 08:05 a.m., the object had left Moldovan airspace and headed toward Biliaivka in the Odesa region of Ukraine. Its presence over the country’s territory lasted about one minute.

On the morning of October 3, drone debris was found in four districts of Moldova.

In total, the police recorded five separate incidents involving falling drones.

In one instance, an explosion damaged the windows of a building, and dry grass caught fire after the drone crashed.
