Modi to visit Poland before coming to Ukraine: Date revealed
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Poland and Ukraine in the period from August 21 to 23, according to The Economic Times.
This will mark the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Poland in 40 years.
The Print reports that Modi will undertake a one-day visit to Warsaw on August 21, where he will meet with Polish President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Modi's visit to Ukraine
Wionews earlier reported that Modi is expected to visit Ukraine in the second half of August, with the visit likely taking place on the 23rd.
Back in early 2024, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with Modi and extended an invitation for him to visit Ukraine. Notably, this will be Modi's first visit to Ukraine since the full-scale Russian invasion.
In early July, Modi visited Russia, where he met with dictator Vladimir Putin. After the Russian shelling of the Okhmatdyt hospital, Zelenskyy labeled Modi's visit to the terrorist state as a devastating blow to peace efforts. Following this, India summoned the Ukrainian ambassador.
