Mobilization measures start in occupied part of Donetsk region - NRC

On the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region, the enemy no longer hides its intentions to initiate mobilization measures. In particular, the so-called authorities have launched a mechanism for conscription into Russia's army, attempting to disguise it as training exercises, according to the National Resistance Center (NRC).
As reported by the news outlet, the Gauleiter of the so-called DPR Denis Pushilin has signed an order regarding the preparation of the local population for service in the Russian army.
"In fact, this means mobilizing people with Russian passports who live in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk region," the message states.
At the same time, the occupation administration is trying to conceal the mobilization measures, as the official document is based on Russian regulations regarding the mobilization of reservists, yet the term reservists is not mentioned in the text itself.
"This is part of the occupiers’ strategy to disguise forced mobilization," the National Resistance Center (NRC) explains.
According to the information resource, the occupation authorities are involving military enlistment offices and military commandant's offices, which are carrying out coercive control functions over the mobilization process.
"The most important thing is that the order clearly states that the targeted conscription and distribution of those mobilized to the Russian army is carried out, which completely refutes the myth of voluntary participation in these “training camps,'" the resource notes.
Additionally, according to the National Resistance Center (NRC), Russians plan to begin the so-called conscription in March-April 2025. This, in turn, will allow the enemy to disguise the mobilization as part of the annual conscription campaign in Russia.
The National Resistance Center emphasized that Russians continue to exploit the civilian population of the temporarily occupied territories as a resource for waging war.
