In Kryvyi Rih, emergency and rescue operations are ongoing following a Russian missile strike carried out by the enemy on the evening of December 19. Two people have been successfully rescued from the rubble of a building, states the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak.

The official stated that as a result of the Russian missile strike on Kryvyi Rih, a two-story building was destroyed.

A teenage girl and a man were rescued from the rubble, according to the head of the Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak.

Additionally, Lysak informed that windows were shattered in a 10-story building in the city.

"We are clarifying the details," the official added.

Updated: 3 people injured

According to the State Emergency Service (SES), a Russian missile strike partially destroyed a two-story residential building in Kryvyi Rih.

"Preliminary reports indicate that 3 individuals were injured. Emergency responders rescued two people from the rubble: a 38-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl," the statement from the emergency services said.

Additionally, the SES reported that search and rescue operations in the city have been completed.

Emergency responders also released photos from the site of the missile strike in Kryvyi Rih.

Updated: The number of injured has risen to 5.

According to the head of the city's defense council, Oleksandr Vilkul, in a post on Telegram at 01:46 Kyiv time, there are now reports of 5 people injured: a 15-year-old girl, two men aged 38 and 49, and two women aged 30 and 82.

"Two people were rescued from the rubble thanks to the patrol police and the State Emergency Service (SES). All of them are in moderate condition," he said.

Vilkul also mentioned that the enemy's ballistic missile strike on a two-story residential building caused extensive damage to nearby high-rise buildings and private sector structures.

A humanitarian assistance headquarters is being set up. The emergency and rescue operation in the city has already been completed.

Missile strike on Kryvyi Rih

Earlier, it was reported that on the evening of December 19, an explosion was heard in Kryvyi Rih during a missile attack by Russian forces. The Air Force had warned of a ballistic missile threat at that time, as a fast-moving target was heading toward the city.

Later, the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, reported that a residential building was hit.

It should be noted that this ballistic attack on Kryvyi Rih occurred almost exactly 24 hours after the previous strike. On the evening of December 18, explosions were also heard in Kryvyi Rih amid the ballistic threat.

Following the enemy attack on December 18, power outages were recorded around Kryvyi Rih. It was later confirmed that there was damage to civilian and energy infrastructure, including a hospital and high-rise buildings.
