Russian forces launched a missile attack on Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region, on the evening of December 18, causing damage to both civilian and energy infrastructure. A hospital and high-rise buildings were among the affected sites, reports Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council.

According to Vilkul, there were no casualties.

“Central collectors, electricity lines, and trolleybuses have been damaged. Many high-rise buildings have been affected. The hospital was also damaged,” Vilkul stated on the night of December 19.

A humanitarian aid center is currently operating in the city. Efforts to address the consequences of the Russian strike are ongoing.

“Water supply workers, energy providers, transport services, and utilities are working to eliminate the damage,” Vilkul added.

Missile attack on Kryvyi Rih

Earlier reports indicated that explosions were heard in Kryvyi Rih after 11:00 PM Kyiv time on December 18, as military officials warned of a ballistic threat.

The Air Force reported detecting at least two high-speed targets moving toward the city.

Following the explosions, power outages were recorded around Kryvyi Rih. The local authorities also reported on the deployment of an aid center for citizens.
