The Russian army attacked an unfinished residential building in the Odesa region on February 5. One person was killed, and another was wounded; they were passing by at the time of the strike, according to the Telegram of Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper.

"In the Odesa region, as a result of a Russian missile attack on an unfinished residential building, a man was killed," Kiper reported.

According to the head of the regional administration, another man is in critical condition in the hospital.

"Both were passing by the building by chance. Emergency services are working at the scene," he noted.

According to media reports, the Russian forces attacked an unfinished residential building in the city of Pivdenne.

Shelling of Odesa and the region

Russian troops regularly shell Odesa and the surrounding region with missiles and drones. For example, on the night of February 1, Russia attacked the Odesa district with drones. A 9-year-old child and a woman were injured.

Additionally, on the night of January 31, the Russian forces attacked Chornomorsk in the Odesa region with drones. Four people were injured in that attack.

On January 31, Russian forces also launched a ballistic missile attack on Odesa. The historical center of the city was hit, including the Bristol Hotel. People were also injured.
