Miss Universe 2025: Ukrainian entrant reveals her striking national costume with dove wings

Ukraine's representative at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant, 26-year-old Sofiia Tkachuk, showcased a striking national costume during the gala evening of the international competition, which is taking place in Bangkok.
What Sofiia Tkachuk's national costume looks like
The holder of the Ukrainian title stepped onto the runway in a radiant look titled "Dove of Peace."
The costume is made in silver and pearlescent shades. At the model's waist is a sculptural element in the shape of a dove with its wings outstretched.

The corset dress resembled warrior armor, beneath which a delicate fabric with a train shimmered.
In her hands, Sofiia held a globe with Ukraine marked by red poppies.
The look was completed with a pearlescent wig, a gemstone tiara, and a matching necklace.

"The look embodies strength, restrained femininity, and the resilience of a country that carries light even under the wings of shadow. Silver symbolizes peace and light. Pearlescent tones stand for innocence, femininity, and a new beginning that every Ukrainian family fights for today," the creators described the outfit.
According to the designers, the costume was meant not only to impress the audience but also to remind the world of the courage of the Ukrainian people and the power of Ukrainian women.

The author of the dress concept was Anna Filimonova, and the designer was Michael Barassi.
During the competition, Sofiia also showcased several evening gowns and had the chance to present her modeling skills on the international stage.
The name of the Miss Universe 2025 winner will be announced on November 21 during the final.
What is known about Sofiia Tkachuk
At the age of four, Sofiia Tkachuk moved abroad with her family. She holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from EAE Business School in Barcelona.
"When I was four, my family moved abroad. I grew up surrounded by different languages and cultures, but I always felt that my roots were in Ukraine and my soul was Ukrainian. I am a woman of action. I worked at the UN, volunteered, and helped Ukrainians abroad both during and before the full-scale invasion. I know what it's like to leave your homeland, find yourself in a foreign country, and start everything from scratch," Miss Universe Ukraine noted.

Currently, Sofiia is engaged in entrepreneurship and studies macroeconomics and investment mechanisms.
