Minus $45 million – Ukrainian forces show destruction of Russian Buk-M3 air defense system

Reconnaissance troops from Ukraine’s Chornyi Lis (Black Forest) brigade struck a Russian Buk-M3 air defense system. The cost of the complex exceeds $40 million, according to Ukraine’s Ground Forces.
"This fireworks show from ammunition detonation was the result of a precise strike on a modern Buk-M3 medium-range mobile air defense system belonging to the enemy army. Detected by Chornyi Lis reconnaissance men, destroyed by friendly units,” the brigade wrote.

Designed to intercept aircraft, helicopters, cruise and ballistic missiles, and drones, even under intense electronic warfare, the Buk-M3 features an improved control system, a 9M317M missile with active radar homing, and can operate autonomously.
