Military talked about situation and Russian tactics in Chasiv Yar
Intense urban fighting is ongoing in Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region, as Russian forces attempt to seize the refractory plant and the Kanal residential area, states Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Group of Troops.
"Fierce urban battles are currently ongoing in Chasiv Yar. The enemy is once again attempting to advance on the refractory plant (Chasiv Yar Refractory Plant, - ed.)," he stated. "Ukrainian forces are actively resisting and have been successful in their efforts so far."
Russia’s tactics in Chasiv Yar
According to Trehubov, the Russian forces' strategy near Chasiv Yar is straightforward: regroup, amass forces, and attack repeatedly.
"We’ve been engaged in this type of battle for quite some time. They regroup, gather their strength, and push towards the Kanal district and the refractory plant," Trehubov explained.
The major noted that Ukrainian forces have been successful in repelling enemy attacks, "but it’s important to understand that the Russians continue attempting to attack repeatedly," he added.
Current situation around Chasiv Yar
