Meghan Markle names royal family members behind racist questions
Royal biographer Omid Scobie unveils fresh insights into the scandal sparked by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey in the new book "Endgame." During the interview, the Duchess of Sussex disclosed experiencing racism within the royal family, reports The Sun.
Who Meghan Markle spoke to about racism
According to the book, the Duchess of Sussex communicated with the King. She informed him about encountering racist queries from two individuals within the royal household. It is suggested that Markle might have heard them even from a family member.
According to the article, "it is not known if the second accused person is a member of the Royal Family or someone who works for the family, but they are a member of the Royal Household. Scobie claims he knows the names, but laws in the United Kingdom prevent him from reporting who they were".

Markle sent these letters to Charles III back in 2021, when he was not yet king. Additionally, Prince Harry, who also corresponded with his father, wrote about racism concerning his wife.
"Meghan believed "unconscious bias and ignorance" inside the Royal Family needed to be tackled. In return, Charles wanted his letters to express he felt "no ill will" or "casual prejudice" had been involved. In writing back to his daughter-in-law, Charles wanted to clear up "something he felt strongly about", the leaked book will claim.

Scandal and accusations of racism - where it all started
The origins of the scandal and racism accusations can be traced back to the 2021 interview conducted by Markle and Prince Harry with Winfrey. During the interview, the Duchess of Sussex revealed having heard peculiar questions from members of the royal family, including inquiries about her baby's skin color during her first pregnancy.
In response, Prince William denied the racism accusations, asserting their falsehood. Queen Elizabeth II also addressed the candid interview, and insiders reported a heightened state of shock within the royal family, indicating that Prince Harry's relationship with his relatives was further strained.
