Maternity hospital among targets in Odesa attack: first details reported

On the night of March 28, Russia once again struck Odesa. Using drones, the enemy attacked the city's civilian infrastructure, according to the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhii Lysak.
Local authorities reported another strike on Odesa's civilian infrastructure, resulting in damage and casualties.
Strike on a maternity hospital in the Prymorskyi district
Lysak said that the enemy once again targeted civilian infrastructure facilities. In the Prymorskyi district, a hit to the roof of a maternity hospital building was recorded.
According to preliminary data, staff and patients managed to reach shelter in time, which helped avoid more severe consequences and casualties.
Damage to residential buildings
As a result of the attack, the floors between the fourth and fifth levels of a multi-story residential building were partially destroyed. The blast wave shattered windows in residential buildings across different parts of the district, causing additional damage.
Fires in the private sector
In addition, fires broke out in residential homes in the private sector. Emergency services are working at the scene to eliminate the consequences.
Casualties reported
According to preliminary information, four people were injured. All the victims are receiving the necessary medical assistance.
According to updated information, 10 people were injured in the incident, two of them are in serious condition, and a child is among the wounded.
In the Prymorskyi district, three educational institutions were damaged; in the Khadzhibeyskyi district, a hit to a multi-story residential building was recorded with no casualties. Emergency and municipal services continue to operate at the sites, and emergency response headquarters have been set up to assist residents.
The staff and patients of the maternity hospital have been evacuated. All relevant services continue to work at the sites, documenting damage, and an emergency response headquarters has been set up in Peremohy Park to assist residents.

As of 7:00 a.m., Serhii Lysak reported that one of the people injured in the attack has died in the hospital. In total, 11 people were affected, including one child.
Damage was recorded across the city: the roof of one of the maternity hospitals was hit, and significant destruction occurred in the residential buildings of the Prymorskyi district.
In multi-story buildings, balconies and windows were damaged, and fires broke out on the upper floors.
In the private sector, fires occurred in residential houses, which have already been extinguished. More than 10 vehicles were also damaged.
In the Khadzhibeyskyi district, fires were recorded in apartments and on the roof of a five-story building.
In the Kyivskyi district, non-residential buildings were damaged, and windows in residential houses were shattered.
It is recalled that on March 27, Russian forces attacked Kryvyi Rih with Shahed-type kamikaze drones, striking energy and industrial infrastructure as well as residential areas.
It should also be noted that following the strike by Ukrainian drones on the Kirishi oil refinery in Russia’s Leningrad region, key production facilities were damaged, including the primary oil processing units ELOU-AVT-2 and ELOU-AVT-6, as well as bitumen production, hydro-treatment, and gas fractionation facilities.
