Last night, Kyiv came under a large-scale combined attack by Russia. Casualties have already been reported in the capital, according to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko.

According to him, the capital came under a combined attack of ballistic missiles and Shahed drones. The threat from Russian forces is expected to persist for several more hours.

As of 1:40 AM Kyiv time:

  • Holosiivskyi district: two fires reported due to the attack;

  • Shevchenkivskyi district: four fires;

  • Sviatoshynskyi district: preliminary reports of fires at three locations.

"Garages, buildings, cars. There are already five reported casualties, including a child," Tkachenko wrote.

There is confirmed damage to civilian infrastructure.

At the same time, Mayor Vitali Klitschko clarified that the child, a three-year-old, was hospitalized in the Sviatoshynskyi district.

Massive strike on April 24

The Russian army launched a large-scale combined attack on Ukrainian territory, using ballistic missiles, Kalibr cruise missiles, and Shahed drones.

The Air Force also warned of the threat from cruise missiles launched by Russian strategic aviation.

Explosions have been reported in both Kyiv and Kharkiv.

It is currently known that a residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district caught fire.

"A residential building is on fire in the Sviatoshynskyi district. There is destruction. People are trapped under the rubble," Klitschko wrote.
