As a result of a new Russian strike on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, the entire city of Kremenchuk has been left without electricity, according to the city Mayor Vitalii Maletskyi.

"The enemy continues to strike Ukraine’s energy facilities. This time, our district was hit as well. Currently, power supply is completely out across the city. We are awaiting official information on the consequences from the Poltava Regional Administration and energy providers," the mayor said.

At the same time, city authorities are taking all necessary measures to ensure the operation of water supply, sewage, and heating systems amid the total blackout.

Shelter points are also being set up for residents.

According to the mayor, all municipal and emergency services have been mobilized to deal with the aftermath of the incident and are working in reinforced mode.

"No matter how hard the enemy tries to break us, we will stand firm — we are strong. I will provide more information once official updates from the regional administration and energy companies are received," Maletskyi added.

Horishni Plavni also without power

The Horishni Plavni City Council reported that as a result of the enemy attack, significant damage was caused to energy infrastructure facilities supplying the nearby city of Horishni Plavni, located close to Kremenchuk.

"Quick restoration of power supply is currently not expected. Specialists are working to identify the technical issues and assess possibilities for repair," the city council stated.

Residents are urged to remain calm, save battery power, use resources sparingly, and follow updates on official channels.

Head of the Poltava Regional Administration Volodymyr Kohut reported that overnight, the enemy carried out a massive strike on the Poltava region.

The attack targeted energy infrastructure facilities. According to him, one person was injured as a result of the Russian strike and is receiving the necessary medical assistance.

In addition, due to the attack, emergency power outage schedules have been introduced across the region.

In the Kremenchuk community, according to the regional head, there is no electricity, water supply, or, in some areas, heating. Water delivery for residents will be organized soon.

Electric transport in the city is not operating, and additional buses have been deployed to maintain public transportation routes.
