Massive fire breaks out in Moscow
A powerful fire broke out in Moscow on Saturday, August 31. The fire has been extinguished since the morning, with helicopters and a ship involved, reports the Russian Ministry of Emergencies.
A two-story office building in western Moscow caught fire. Firefighters have been trying to extinguish the fire since morning.
The fire has covered an area of over a thousand square meters. The Russian Emergencies Ministry has engaged a special ship, Colonel Chernyshev, as well as four helicopters from the Moscow Aviation Center - three Ka-32s and a Mi-26.
According to Russian rescuers, the helicopters have already dropped more than 350 tons of water, but the fire has not been extinguished.

Recently, a fire broke out at the Ryazan power plant. Footage was posted online showing the station engulfed in smoke. Eyewitnesses also reported hearing an explosion.
The oil depot of the Kavkaz plant in the city of Proletarsk in the Rostov region was on fire for more than a week. It was attacked by the Ukrainian military. According to RBK-Ukraine, it was an operation of the Defense Ministry's Intelligence.
Also in the Volgograd region, a fire broke out near the Marinovka airfield after a drone attack.
