Explosions in Crimea

Explosions are increasingly common in the temporarily occupied Crimea. In most cases, they are associated with strikes by Ukrainian defenders against the Russian occupiers and their military equipment.

In particular, on January 31, explosions were heard near the Belbek airfield in Sevastopol. Later, it became known that Ukrainian defenders had launched a missile strike at the facility.

The next day, on February 1, Russian media reported a strike on a communications center at the Belbek airfield.

Ukrainian Air Force spokesperson Yurii Ihnat later clarified that at least three enemy aircraft were hit during the attack.
