On Monday, October 27, Russian forces attacked Chernihiv and the Chernihiv district with strike drones, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

As the State Emergency Service reported, in Chernihiv, the strike damaged four residential buildings, and one person was injured. Rescuers, together with medical personnel, transported the injured person to an ambulance.

In the Chernihiv district, a drone strike caused a fire in an outbuilding. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.

Attack on Chernihiv

On October 27, Russian forces launched a massive drone strike on Chernihiv. Two people were injured by falling debris.

The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported several groups of Russian drones heading toward Chernihiv. Monitoring groups noted that there were about 15 Shaheds near the city.

Yesterday evening, the Russian army again attempted to attack Chernihiv with drones, with one hit recorded at an industrial facility.

Earlier, on October 20, Russian forces damaged energy infrastructure in the Chernihiv region with drones and missiles. Afterward, the city and parts of the region experienced blackouts.

On October 24, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported that electricity had been fully restored to all users in Chernihiv after a prolonged blackout, despite regular Russian attacks on critical energy facilities.
