Massive drone and missile strikes hit Kyiv: Latest on aftermath

Russia is launching a massive attack on Kyiv with Shahed drones and missiles. Debris is falling in various parts of the city.

When the attack began
At 12:02 a.m. Kyiv time today, an air raid warning was issued in the capital. Almost immediately, explosions were heard across the city. According to local authorities, Kyiv’s air defense systems were actively engaging.
“Air defense forces are working against enemy drones over Obolon,” Kyiv’s mayor, Vitalii Klitschko, reported.
However, later explosions were heard across all districts.
At the same time, the Kyiv City State Administration reported that the city was under drone attack. But later, the Ukrainian Air Forces announced that a missile was approaching the capital.
First consequences
As of 02:06, it became known that a drone had fallen in the Desnianskyi district of the capital. However, half an hour later, local authorities reported that as a result of the attack, drone debris was found in five districts, namely:
- Desnianskyi,
- Shevchenkivskyi,
- Podilskyi,
- Darnytskyi,
- Obolonskyi;
- Solomianskyi districts.
According to the Kyiv City State Administration, there is damage to residential buildings and fires. Rescuers are working on the site. Information about casualties is still being clarified.
Shevchenkivskyi district
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, cars caught fire. Additionally, a residential building in the same district was set ablaze. There is a report of a woman injured who is receiving medical assistance. Information also indicates damage to another building at a different address.
In Shevchenkivskyi district, a balcony in a residential building caught fire, along with some non-residential premises and a business center.
Obolonskyi district
In the Obolonskyi district, drone debris fell on the grounds of a school. Emergency services are en route. There was also a fire in a non-residential building in the area.
Additionally, two floors of a residential building were destroyed, an office building caught fire, and debris fell in an open area. Another residential building was also damaged.
In Obolon’s residential area, a pharmacy building is burning, with one person hospitalized.
At another location, warehouse facilities caught fire due to the attack.
Podilskyi district
In the Podilskyi district, debris fell in an open area, damaging non-residential buildings. Medical teams were called to the scene.
Later, drone fragments also fell at two other locations.
Dniprovskyi district
Due to the attack, smoke was reported in a non-residential building in the Dniprovskyi district.
Darnytskyi district
In the Darnytskyi district, several consequences of the enemy attack have been recorded. A fire broke out in a non-residential building, and there was also a blaze in a residential building.
One of the drones that was shot down fell in a green zone. There is partial destruction of non-residential premises and damage to a garage cooperative.
Warehouse facilities are also burning, and in another location, a forest strip is on fire. Additionally, preliminary reports indicate damage to a residential building, but without further ignition.
Additionally, there is one reported injured person who received medical assistance on-site.
Holosiivskyi district
In the Holosiivskyi district, drone debris was reported falling on the grounds of a non-residential building, causing damage to a business center.
Desnianskyi district
As a result of debris from a downed drone falling, a car caught fire.
Solomianskyi district
In the Solomianskyi district, drone debris struck the roof of a high-rise building, sparking a fire.
Attack on Odesa
On the night of June 10, Russian forces attacked Odesa using drones. As a result of the strike, a maternity hospital and civilian infrastructure were damaged.
