Mars civilization destroyed by nuclear explosion: Harvard scientist finds evidence

John Brandenburg, an astrophysicist, researcher, and scientist at Harvard University, is convinced that an ancient civilization on Mars was destroyed by a nuclear war. Such a hypothesis is a bit shocking and looks like a script for an apocalypse movie, but Brandenburg assures that he has evidence.

This theory first appeared back in 2014, when a Harvard astrophysicist suggested that Mars is red for a reason, and that is because of a thermonuclear explosion. The scientist said that the chemical elements on the planet's surface corresponded to the chemical elements that can be found near nuclear test sites on Earth.

The scientific community, which adheres to more traditional views, did not take Brandenburg's words seriously and said that there was no reliable evidence, such as a crater or traces of radioactive fallout, to indicate a possible nuclear explosion. And the astrophysicist's research itself was published in some not-so-famous journal that has no credibility.

But now Brandenburg's theory has been mentioned again. Jason Reza Jorjani, PhD, science fiction writer, described the astrophysicist's theory in an interview and called the study proof that intelligent life once existed on Mars.

According to Jorjani, each planet has a certain amount of isotopes of different chemical elements, and the isotopic ratio of xenon-129 is the same throughout the solar system. Except for Mars.

Brandenburg's study indicates that the high concentration of xenon-129 in the atmosphere of Mars, as well as uranium and thorium on the planet's surface, confirms his theory of a nuclear explosion.

The fact is that xenon-129 is a stable, non-radioactive gas that is a version of xenon, a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas that can be found in small quantities in the Earth's atmosphere. And while xenon-129 occurs naturally, it is also released during fusion.

NASA has previously detected elevated levels of xenon-129 in the Kidonia region of Mars. And these levels were much higher than expected. The Kidonia region is located in the northern hemisphere of the planet and is known for the presence of artificially created megalithic structures. One of them looks like a face, the others look like giant pyramids.

NASA scientists do not support Brandenburg's theory that these are the remnants of thermonuclear explosions on the surface of Mars and say that it is an optical illusion caused by the play of light and shadow, as well as the morphology of the surface. And the high content of xenon-129 can be explained by the fact that this gas was released into the atmosphere as a result of asteroid impacts.

According to the astrophysicist, Mars once had a climate similar to Earth's, and there was life similar to Earth's - animal and plant life. And of course, there were intelligent beings on Mars.

Georgiani says that Brandenburg's findings coincide with a CIA report detailing how an ancient civilization once lived on Mars but disappeared. But the CIA has never officially reported that there was a civilization on Mars.

According to the doctoral candidate, if we combine the CIA's data and Brandenburg's theory, the civilization on Mars could have disappeared due to a nuclear war 100 million years ago, although the astrophysicist claimed that it happened about 200 thousand years ago.

He refers to a 1984 CIA report on a project involving people with psychic abilities. Some of them had a top-secret mission to remotely observe Mars. The details of this project were declassified back in 217, and recently it was mentioned again online.

Observers reported seeing the ruins of a city with giant pyramids on Mars, and the atmosphere on the planet became unbreathable. Other project participants reported seeing creatures that looked like humans, but they were twice as tall. They also saw these humanoid creatures dying for some reason.
