Man threatening to kill Trump and Vance arrested in US
A man who threatened to kill US presidential candidate Donald Trump and his partner JD Vance in writing has been arrested in the United States, reports Sky News.
According to a statement from the Jupiter Police Department, Michael Wiseman was arrested yesterday, July 19, on charges of making written death threats on social media.
The police said that after examining the suspect's Facebook messages and account, JPD detectives found that Wiseman had repeatedly threatened Trump and Vance, the people who earlier this week became the Republican presidential and vice presidential candidates, respectively.
“Threats were also made concerning bodily harm to members of the Trump and Vance families,” the statement said.
Sky News added that the arrest took place less than a week after the attempted assassination of the US presidential candidate.
