On Saturday, September 27, the Russian army attacked a civilian vehicle in Sumy region, killing a man in a targeted strike, according to Oleg Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, on Telegram.

According to the report, the attack occurred in the village of Znob-Novhorodska community. A Russian drone hit the car directly in the windshield.

"Unfortunately, a 59-year-old man was killed as a result of the strike. Our sincere condolences to his family," Hryhorov said.

Another man was injured as a result of the enemy attack and has been taken to the hospital.

Attack on Ukraine

On the night of September 27, Russian forces attacked Ukraine, launching 115 drones, including 70 Shahed-type UAVs. Air defense units managed to shoot down 97 enemy drones.

According to the Ukrainian Air Forces, 17 strike drones hit six different locations, and debris from downed UAVs fell in two additional areas.

During the attack, the enemy struck Zaporizhzhia, destroying an ATB supermarket. The invaders also attacked Vinnytsia region today. In Odesa region, enemy drones damaged railway infrastructure.

It is also known that the invaders cynically targeted a gas brigade in Sumy region.
