Colorado Springs mall shooting: One fatality and three injured
A fatal shooting occurred at the Citadel Mall in Colorado Springs on Christmas Eve, resulting in one death and three injuries. This incident is part of a worrying trend of gun violence in the US, especially at shopping centers during the holiday season, according to CNN.
The shooting at the Colorado Mall happened after a fight broke out between two groups. Police responded to the scene around 4:30 p.m., during a busy shopping period.
One man was found dead at the site, two others were hospitalized with serious gunshot wounds, and a woman sustained minor injuries.
The police have secured and closed the mall, detaining several people, and stated there is no ongoing threat to the community.
