Major Russian gas-chemical complex goes up in flames

On August 25, a large-scale fire broke out at the Amur Gas Chemical Complex (AGCC), which is currently under construction, according to the ASTRA Telegram channel.
According to the latest reports, over 75 people were injured.
"To ensure safety and minimize potential damage, company employees are shutting down equipment that is currently undergoing commissioning," the company's press office states.
The Amur Gas Chemical Complex (AGCC) is a joint investment project between Russia's SIBUR and China's Sinopec in the Amur region.
Investors expect it to become one of the world's largest plants for the production of basic polymers.

A methanol processing unit may have caught fire.
According to the latest data, the fire covered an area of about 2,000 square meters.
Additionally, Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully attacked the Afipsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar Krai of Russia.
On the night of August 25, drones carried out an airstrike on the Rostov region in Russia.
Initially, loud explosions were heard near Novoshakhtinsk, and later a fire broke out near the Afipsky oil refinery.
