Major Gazprom facility in Russia hit in attack: Blaze reported

An attack targeted Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat in Bashkortostan, one of Russia's largest oil refining and petrochemical complexes, according to OSINT communities.
According to OSINT channels, a fire broke out in the area of the facility.
The city of Salavat is located about 1,400 km from the Ukrainian border.
According to one of the channels, photos and videos submitted by readers suggest that the fire erupted several kilometers from the city. Analysis of the published footage indicates that the blaze may be located near the oil refinery.
At the same time, the exact location of the fire and the extent of any possible damage have not yet been established.
What is known about the facility
Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat is part of Russia's Gazprom group. The enterprise is capable of processing up to 10 million tons of hydrocarbon feedstock per year.
The complex produces more than 150 types of products, including gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, polyethylene, styrene, and ammonia.
It is one of the largest oil refining and petrochemical facilities in Russia's Republic of Bashkortostan.
Facility has been targeted before
Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat has previously come under drone attacks.
On September 24, 2025, an attack damaged the ELOU-AVT-6 primary oil processing unit.
Following an attack on July 14, 2026, a fire broke out at the refinery, and oil processing reportedly came to a complete halt, according to OSINT sources.
Another fire at the facility occurred after an attack on August 13, 2026.
As of now, Russian authorities have not officially commented on the incident.
