A powerful explosion occurred in Severomorsk, Murmansk region of Russia. This is where Russian nuclear submarines are based, informs Russian Telegram channels.

"Telegram channels are reporting a powerful explosion in Severomorsk, Murmansk region. The city hosts the largest base of Russian nuclear submarines. Information is being clarified," writes the ASTRA channel.

It should be noted that this is the main naval base of Russia's Northern Fleet.

The head of Severomorsk, Vladimir Yevmenkov, denies that any explosions occurred in the city. According to him, this information does not correspond to reality.

"As of now, the situation is stable. No threats have been recorded. Do not panic and trust only verified sources of information," he wrote on social media.

SBU operation in Russia

Today the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) is carrying out an operation targeting aviation inside Russia. The operation is personally led by SBU chief Vasyl Malyuk. As a result of the operation, over 40 enemy aircraft were hit.

“Right now, the Security Service of Ukraine is conducting a large-scale special operation to destroy enemy bomber aviation in the rear of the Russian Federation. It is currently known that more than 40 aircraft have been hit, including the A-50, Tu-95, and Tu-22M3,” RBC-Ukraine sources said.

Sources also reported that SBU drones are targeting aircraft that bomb Ukrainian cities every night.
